8 consequences of being disobedient to God

1. Disobedience and sin displease God.

2. Disobedience calls into question the lordship of Jesus Christ in that person's life, and it may eventually lead that person into falling away from the faith.

3. Sin and disobedience brings trouble and tragedy into a person's life, and their family's life as well.

4. Disobedience results in loss of rewards in Heaven.

5. Sin damages a believer's Christian testimony, reputation and witness to non-believers.

6. A person's sinful activity influences others nearby into sin and trouble also.

7. Time and resources invested in sin are lost to being spent in God's service. Conversely, time and resources invested in sin are being used to support Satan in the community and the world.

8. Sinful acts done in secret will be revealed to all at a point in the future.
